Bradly a.k.a Bradalina

I have a bearded dragon, his name is Bradly. I got Bradly about two and a half years ago on my ninth birthday on August thirty-first.

It all started when I was sitting on the couch opening gifts when my Uncle Micah got up and walked down the hall, I didn't no what he was doing but I didn't ask. Less than two minutes later I was almost done opening gifts when Uncle Micah came and sat back down. When I just got done opening gifts Uncle Micah reached into his pocket and took out a little container with tiny holes in the top of it. I saw something brownish blackish with little tan spots inside the container. All he said was "happy birthday buddy" I jumped up and ran over there. I opened up the container and there was Bradly only about four to five inches long. I love Bradly:)
About a year later Uncle Micah came over again and went into are room with us he picked up Bradly and said "I think Bradly is a she" I said "why do you think that" he said "because she is not growing any more" so i renamed her "Bradalina" but somehow the name Bradly stuck:)

Ha-Ha Ha-Ha that was funny!!!!!!!! She's happy that's for sure:)

Gopher snakes

Gopher snakes have large blotches of dark brown color down the middle of it's back. There are more different colors too. The rest of it is a yellowish color. This snake isn't venomous. It's bite sort of scares you but it doesn't hurt you. The Gopher snake kill's it's prey by suffocating it. The prey is swallowed whole usually head first. The Gopher snake eats mice, rats, gopher's, ground squirrel's, rabbit's, bird's, and lizard's.

Gopher snakes are related to pine and bull snakes.

Found throughout North America and Mexico, there are eight known kinds, of which two snakes may actually be separate species.

Christmas

Lots of people think Christmas is just a holiday to get gifts. They hang out with friends while they open gifts. They think Santa clause brought the gifts. But non of that is true. I can tell you why there is Christmas. 

About  2,000 years ago Caesar Augustus declared that a censes should be taken of the entire roman world. At that time a girl named Mary was pledged to marry a man named Joseph. One day an angel of the Lord came to Mary and said,”Greetings, you who are highly favored! The Lord is with you. You will be with child and give birth to a son. You are to name him Jesus.” When Joseph heard about this he was greatly troubled. He was going to divorce Mary, but one night an angel of the Lord came to Joseph in a dream and said,”Do not be troubled for the baby Mary will have is from the Lord.” The next day Joseph went to Mary and told her all that had happened. Then Joseph took Mary and set out to Bethlehem because  that’s where he was from. When they  got there Mary felt like she was going to have the baby. So they quickly found an inn. When Joseph went up to the inn the inn keeper said,” I’m sorry but we are all full.” Each inn he went to said the same thing. Then one of the inn keepers said they had a stable that they could stay in so Joseph took up the offer. A few minutes later Mary had the baby. Meanwhile in a field outside of Bethlehem some shepherds were herding their sheep when all of a sudden an angel of the Lord came to them and said,” do not be afraid for I bring you great tidings of joy. In a stable in Bethlehem a baby was born. He is your Savior.” Then a whole bunch of angels joined in singing “Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace goodwill towards men!” Then they left. Once the angels left the shepherds headed to Bethlehem. A bit farther three wise men saw the star. So they decided to follow it. A few days later the shepherds and the wise men got to the stable. They gave Mary and Joseph some gifts, bowed down to  Jesus then left. Now that’s what Christmas is about.

Milk Snakes Pt.2

BRIGHT AND COLORFUL SNAKES                                

Most milk snakes have bright colors on their smooth, scaly skin. Their body colors are mainly red, orange, brown, or gray. They also have black and either yellow or white rings. They are often said to be tricolored, or marked by three colors. Milk snakes can vary greatly in color. A pale milk snake has a whitish body color with red or orange spots that are often bordered by black rings. A Utah milk snake has a greater number of rings than most other milk snakes have. Its rings are often red, black, and white. An eastern milk snake has a pattern of tan, brown, gray, or brick red blotches. On the back of its neck, it has a Y-or V-shaped patch of tan.

Milk Snakes Pt. 1

HOW THE MILK SNAKE GOT ITS NAME

    Milk snakes are not the color of milk, so that is not why they are called milk snakes. Many years ago, farmers saw the snakes in their barns. Sometimes when the farmers milked cows, the cows had very little milk. The farmers believed that the snakes had drunk the milk, and so they called them milk snakes. Today we know that milk snakes do not drink milk. They were most likely in the barns hunting mice and rats. However, the name has stuck.                          

   Nine kinds of milk snakes dwell in the United States and Canada: the eastern, Louisiana, New Mexico, Mexican, Central Plains, pale, red and Utah milk snakes, and the scarlet king snake.

Rattlesnake’s

Rattlesnakes are the best-known venomous snakes in the United States. There are more than a dozen different kinds. The largest is the Eastern Diamondback rattle snake which may grow up to be 8 feet and wider around than a man's arm. The bulges at the rear of the snake’s head are it’s poison glands. The holes, or pit’s, below each eye are sense organs that can pick up the smell of it’s prey far away. They help the snake easily locate it’s prey, even in the dark. A rattlesnake’s upper jaw contains two very large teeth, called fangs, are sharp and hollow. They fold back when the mouth is closed. The snake uses it’s fangs to inject venom into it’s prey. The rattlesnakes rattle makes a noise like dry leaves rustling. This is a warning signal to predators or other enemies.

Leopard Geckos

     Leopard Geckos live in Pakistan, India and Afghanistan where the terrain is dry and rocky. Leopard geckos live on and under ground. A gecko has a triangular head and a large tail. It’s skin is bumpy and has black dots all over it. It is designed to camouflage the gecko from predators.               

      A leopard gecko makes a perfect pet. They are small, and have minimal care requirements, and can be left alone for several day’s. They are quiet and don’t smell. You can buy some from pet stores or breeders. They are not expensive.

    I have two leopard geckos but they are two different colors. They both have dots all over them. I feed them king worms, meal worms, or crickets. They have a ten gallon tank. I try to hold them every day. I have had them for a year. When I first got Giecko he bit me non stop but today he will not bite me for any thing. And when we got Gezelle she didn’t bite because my Uncle had her first. These are my favorite lizards that I have ever had.

    If you ever get a lizard you should get a leopard gecko. They're the best lizards ever.
