Today I'm going to blog about Tokay geckos. I find them really cool and pretty. The average one is blueish with bright orange dots all over them, but others can be different. They are native to S.E Asia and their scientific name is Gekko Gecko. They get around twelve inches long and live for ten to twenty years. They are nocturnal, and they bite a lot. A baby Tokay gecko that just hatched is usually two to three inches long. They have sticky pads on their feet that help them to walk up walls or an a ceiling. The pads are not really sticky, but somehow they help them to stick. They are one of the largest geckos ever. They are one of the most prettiest geckos and are on the bitter list. At night you can hear the males “barking” at each other and
trying to coax females to hang out with them for a while.
Tokay geckos get their name from the sound of their bark -- the “gecko”
sound.
Remember, his bite is worse than his bark. I tried to get a pic of a bunch of different color Tokay geckos.
